The Church Properties Committee is responsible for maintaining the appearance of our parish
buildings and grounds. From the Religious Education classrooms, to the St. Gall Cemetery, members
of the committee perform general maintenance tasks or act as the point of contact with professionals
and trades people required for the completion of more complex tasks.
In the summer you will find volunteers of this committee helping to organize watering schedules for
the landscaping around the church, rectory, St. Francis Garden and cemetery. Spring and fall clean-ups are
organized by the committee and when the snow starts to fly volunteers are ready to clear the sidewalks.
You will also see members of the Properties Committee helping to maintain the cemetery, removing dead flowers
trimming back plantings, and checking for compliance with our cemetery rules for decorations.
The committee meets regularly to discuss the status of projects ranging from repair of the parking lot
and sidewalks to the appearance of the cemetery. Their recommendations on whether to organize a work party
or seek bids for the work are delivered to the Pastor and the Business Manager.
If you have a skill which you think would be useful in helping to maintain our church properties and would
like to volunteer your time, contact the Parish Office to be put in touch with members of the committee.
