The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is the process whereby adults enter the Catholic Church. RCIA classes are held weekly and over the course of several months those who attend the RCIA classes are educated on what the Catholic Church believes and are given the oppurtunity to ask question about those beliefs.
St. Gall also offers the same process for children interested in becoming catholic and is called the Rite of Christian Initiation of Children (RCIC). RCIC classes are held weekly and over the course of several months.
Just because you start RCIA or RCIC, doesn't mean you are committed to finished. If you are merely curious about what Catholicism is, please feel free to come. All are welcome.
Sessions typically begin in late August or early September and end at the Easter Vigil Mass during the Triduum.
Who can join the RCIA/RCIC Process?
Individuals 16 years old and older who have never been baptized (Catechumens)
