Do you have friends or family members, who have said on different occasions that they were interested in exploring the Catholic Faith? Well St. Gall Parish has an inviting process whereby our relatives and loved ones can learn more about the Catholic Faith in a relaxed, non-threatening setting. The process is called the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) or Rite of Christian Initiation of Children (RCIC).
Who can join the RCIA/RCIC Process?
- Individuals 16 years old and older who have never been baptized (Catechumens)
- Individuals 16 years old and older who have already been validly baptized in another non-Catholic ecclesial community, or baptized Catholic but did not receive the sacraments of Reconciliation, Holy Communion or Confirmation as a child (Candidates)
- Children 7 years old and older who have never been baptized or who have already been validly baptized Catholic but have not received the sacraments of Reconciliation or Holy Communion. (CIC)
