Dear Families,
We are happy to welcome you all to our 2024-2025 programs! We hope you and your family will find spiritual contentment within these doors. This year, we will have a special focus on the Eucharist during the parish phase of the Eucharistic Revival!
We see each child of St. Gall as precious in the sight of God, and consider it an honor to partner with your family in the formation of your children. We, as a staff, are partners with parents! We do not take your place. We merely augment your own teaching and example with our auxiliary knowledge and experience.
We hope to lead our young people to full, conscious, and active participation in the Mass and a deeper relationship with Christ. We strive to engage your children through teaching, skits, games, storytelling, prayer, sacramental preparation, and liturgy. You, as parents, set the example by your Mass attendance and witness in the world as your family lives according to the teachings of the Catholic Church all week long. Thank you for giving your children this most precious 'gift!' of faith!
Take the time to read through this information. We suggest you put the Faith Formation Calendar in a prominent place. Our calendar is also on our main web pages. Be sure to check your child’s folder for their class syllabus, emails, bulletins and web pages for other pertinent information about all of our parish activities. Sometimes, the calendar needs to be tweaked during the year. We try to keep you informed of all changes. Be sure to sign up for our Remind.com text messaging system for important information!
Please remember to pray for us, as we pray for you, as we continue striving to build “the Kingdom of God ~ one child at a time.” Faith Formation and Youth Ministry are family ministries that are here to support your family's journey with Christ.
In the Peace and Joy of Christ,
Mrs. Donna Doherty—Director of Faith Formation

A Way of Life
We are called as a disciple of Jesus to share our time, talent, and treasure with the Church, Parish, other organizations in our community or people in need. It’s a way of living out our faith in our daily lives. Discipleship is a conscious choice to live a Christ-centered life. God has given us many gifts and talents both big and small. God calls us to be good stewards and share those gifts. Everything we choose to do with these gifts is, in a sense, our gift back to God in gratitude. What a great opportunity to teach our children the gift of stewardship by our own example. Discipleship will be addressed in your child’s classroom on a regular basis, as they read the lessons and discuss our Bible heroes, stories and Jesus. We remind you to look in your child’s folder each week for ways that you can become the best disciples you and your child can be. With God, all things are possible! We can make a difference in our community and the world. Everyone knows how to share and care... it’s a God-given gift! |
Thank you to all of our Catechists, Aides and Volunteers who help to bring their love of God to all of our kids and families!

ADDRESSING GENDER IDENTITY
Youth and family are faced with numerous challenges pertaining to sexuality, gender, and identity. The Diocesan document of guidelines can be found here in English and Spanish. In the document, items 1 – 3 articulate the expectations of all participants including youth, adults and volunteers. They must understand these expectations and norms of participation.
We must continue to commit ourselves to love all our brothers and sisters with whom we share the earth. And we must do so by reminding ourselves and them of the truth that encompasses every human person. In this case, it is that, as part of God’s plan, we are gifted in the identity given each of us by God at birth as being male or female. Because, as the Book of Genesis tells us, “God has looked on all that He made and saw that it was good.” (Gn 1:31) |
